Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
At 5’7” Faye is a little taller than average. She is thin, busty, and has legs that go on for miles.

2. How old is she?
That depends on how you want to count. Faye is 23, but if you add the time that passed during her cryogenic nap, then she clocks in at 77.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
Faye, more often than not, is proud and self-assured and tends to carry herself that way. On the other hand, she’s also pretty lazy. She can be found leaning against walls or slouching in chairs with her feet propped up on whatever is handy.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
One of these days her devil-may-care approach to life is going to catch up with her, especially her smoking habit, but for now Faye is in good health and good shape. She can still run and hold her own in a fight.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Faye is not nearly as graceful as she would like to think she is. The harder she tries to put on airs, the more likely she will trip over her own feet.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
Quite attractive, some might even say beautiful. She is well aware of this and often uses it to her advantage.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Light complexion and not much in the way of markings. There is a small scar on her right elbow. It’s slight, old, and not very impressive, but she clings to it anyway. Faye likes to think that she got it climbing a tree as a girl. To be honest, the memory was already old enough that it had faded even before she regained them, so she can’t honestly remember if that story is true or not.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Faye’s hair is a dark purple. It is straight, thick, and medium textured – not coarse, but not ultra fine either. She prefers to keep her hair styled in a jaw-length bob.

9. What color are her eyes?
Eyes? There up here, thanks~ Her eyes are a dark green.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Aren't they all?

11. What are her chief tension centers?
Her neck and shoulders.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Faye is a total clotheshorse. She loves fashion and the opportunity to dress up. You’ll never catch Faye wearing flats. Ever. She will go barefoot before that happens. Bright colors and daring cuts are her favorites. Most of the time Faye wears her yellow hotpants and cropped top with a red jacket hanging from her elbows, but she is seen dressed more casually on the Bebop wearing a short pleated skirt and t-shirt.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
If “well” means her clothes cover and reveal exactly what she intends them to, then yes. And Faye is very comfortable in them. She’s got it, so she may as well flaunt it.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
Pretty much. She’ll chase down bounty heads in heels. Faye’s wardrobe is carefully planned. What she wears is as much a weapon as the gun she carries.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Honestly, now. Boxers? Briefs? I don't think so. Faye's lingerie is much more interesting and feminine. What is worn or not worn underneath depends on what is worn over the top. It is the foundation of a well assembled ensemble.

1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
For the most part, Faye’s voice lands in the alto range, unless she’s whining. Then it reaches into soprano territory.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
No hesitation. She usually knows what she wants to say; however, the more upset she gets, the faster the words come. She often channels feelings of fear and concern into frustration or anger so she's prone to yelling in those situations.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Her speech has a lilting quality to it.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Unfortunately, language is never explored in the series. It seems Japanese and English are universally on Earth and the different colonies. It is also hinted that Faye grew up in Singapore, so it is likely she speaks some combination of Malay, Mandarin, English, and Tamil.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
If it would help her communicate or keep her from suspicion, then yes.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
Lies fall pretty easily from her lips.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Faye has to be pretty angry or frustrated to be inarticulate.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Faye is no dummy, and she's definitely street-smart.

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
On her feet, though it would probably do her some good to spend more time deliberating.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
It depends on the situation. Logic and practicality usually prevail. She can be quite calculating in getting what she wants.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
She’s graduated from high school and has a few years of university under her belt.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
What she has learned science-wise and history-wise is out of date and every once in a while, that gap will take her by surprise. She has been so focused on finding her past that not much else has grabbed her attention. Literature is an exception. She likes to get lost in other people’s stories since for years she didn’t have her own.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
Extrovert. She's usually very social as long as things don't get too personal.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Mercurial. Faye can blow hot and cold like nothing else. It doesn't take much to set off her temper, but at the same time it doesn't take long for the mood to pass over. If something really gets to her, then she'll withdraw and become passive aggressive.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Faye will act confident and causal, but as a rule, she is suspicious of people in general.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Fight, though it depends on the situation. If it looks like she won’t win, she’ll take off. If she feels like she’s getting too close to people and she’s unsure about it, she’ll run away then as well. Better to leave than to be left.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Jet often calls her obnoxious because she likes to tease. It ranges from mild ribbing to full on sarcasm. Faye can also be a little mean like when she took an orange that a very bandaged and incapacitated Spike had been eying. Instead of helping him eat it, she ate it herself and left him with the peel. He totally deserved it, though.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
No? Well, nothing a little Gambler's Anonymous couldn't help.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
Her experience with the cryogenic medical staff really set the tone for how she relates to people. Any trust that she had was quashed. She’s had to invent/reinvent who she is since she had no clue about her past or who she was for a good three years. Regaining her memories and still having no where to go.
14. What does she fear?
Losing herself, her memories, abandonment.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
Pretty much anything that is real.

1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
Faye’s background is only vaguely hinted at in the series. From the video she made as a child, it seems that she is happy and well adjusted, if a bit of a troublemaker. Overall, I’d say she had a good relationship with her parents, but perhaps she was left on her own a fair bit.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Faye was an only child.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
Not any more. There's no one left, or any left that she would know of that would know her.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them? The members of the Bebop would be fall into this category, something she’s only admitted once and it took her until the end of the series to realize.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

6. Does she have other close friends?

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
Faye is social, she can get along with people if she wants to, but she prefers to keep others at arms length.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
She has no family so that would leave friends. Though she doesn't show that she cares the way most people would let alone admit that she does care in the first place, Faye will look out for the people she's somehow become close to.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
Single, single, single.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
Someone who could accept her for who she is, someone dependable and loyal, someone she could trust and would take care of her when she needs it. Unfortunately Faye can’t let her guard down enough to let someone like that into her life or admit that sometimes she can’t do everything on her own.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
No! At the moment, she hardly takes care of herself!
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
It takes a lot of work to make an enemy and they’d have to know a fair amount about her to become one. She hardly puts that effort into making friends. She’s certainly not going to go out of her way to make an enemy. Besides, it wouldn't be anything that would benefit her.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
For the way that she dresses and acts, you’d think Faye would see a lot more action than she really does. She’s much more of a tease. Sex is something she views casually. It’s fun, she enjoys it, but it’s the attachments that can arise from it that she’d much rather avoid. In the end, Faye can take it or leave it. She’d be just as happy to spend her evening painting her nails.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Turn ons dangerous guys, guys who know their own weaknesses.
Turn offs, weak guys, guys who can’t think for themselves, guys who push their ideas on others.
Nothing too crazy. Faye prefers to be the one in control, though.

1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
At one point in the series, she makes a comment that “Even Buddha gets upset after three times.” Faye has some religious background, but it isn’t anything that she follows very closely. Her prayers essentially amount to bargaining. She’s more interested in other people’s spirituality than cultivating it for herself. At the end of the day, she’s not sure if either is really worth all the fuss. It’s not always easy for her to take an interest in something greater than herself. What she is is more superstitious when it comes to matters of luck and gambling.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
…Yes. She certainly has her own code. Whether it’s really moral or ethical is up for debate.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
What other people do is their own business. They can do what they want. In some cases, she might be curious, but for the most part, she’s indifferent.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
She’s much harder on guys than she is other women when it comes to matters of trust, but given her track record, it’s hard to blame her.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Money doesn’t sit in her pocket for very long. Saving isn’t something that she gives much priority. Faye has some pretty impressive debts, but she doesn’t let that bother her too much. She just waits until the next windfall and starts over.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
Faye came from an affluent family, however, things changed drastically for her when she was caught in the astral gate explosion. When she woke 54 years later, Faye discovered she was deeply - 300 million woolongs deeply - in debt. There was no way she could pay that off so she ran from it. She’s been pursued by debt collectors, had bounties placed on her own head, and took up a feast or famine existence as a con artist and bounty hunter.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
The Bebop is her home, as much of a home as she’s really known in recent memory. It’s a converted fishing ship, the plumbing sucks, it’s really a bucket of bolts in her opinion, but she’s quietly attached to it. She shares it with Jet Black formerly of the ISSP, Spike Spiegle a former member of a syndicate, Radical Edward a young computer genius and Ein a data dog.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Clothes, shoes, cards, and horse races.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
It’s hard to be picky about food when you don’t always have much to choose from. You take what you can get. Such is life on the Bebop. Beef and bell peppers without the beef? Yup. Cowboy Andy’s Son of a Gun stew? Unfortunately. Cup noodles? A staple. So not exactly healthy when it comes to eating. She drinks and smokes more than she really should. Faye has a weakness for junk food, but she's also vain about her figure so she will keep it in check and manage to sneak in good-for-you things.

Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is her favorite:

1. Color? Red
2. Smell? Sandalwood
3. Time of day? Night
4. Season? Summer
5. Book? Through the Looking Glass
6. Music? Not heavy metal!!
7. Place? The beach
8. Substance? Nicotine
9. Plant? Orchid
10. Animal? Peacock
